October 2026 Status Update
October has been a busy month of releases and security updates - but we also found time to add some notable improvements to BeeWare.

2026Q4 Roadmap
Q3 was dominated by preparations for the Python 3.15 release, and by improvements to the security posture of BeeWare's tools. As always, this roadmap should be read as a guide to what we aim to focus on over the coming quarter, rather than a hard commitment to features that will be made available on a specific deadline.
September 2026 Status Update
In September, we've been focused on preparing for the impending release of Python 3.15, as well as adapting to updates in Xcode and Android Studio.
August 2026 Status Update
In August, we made some major improvements hardening the security of BeeWare's tools, and attended PyCon AU 2026.
July 2026 Status Update
In July, we added uv support to Briefcase, landed some patches for mobile support in some major Python projects, and welcomed a new member to the BeeWare core team.

Russell, Katie and Kattni will be attending PyCon AU 2026 from August 26 - August 30, 2026!
2026Q3 Roadmap
We've made a lot of progress in Q2. However, much of that progress wasn't in areas that we were fully anticipating, and we didn't make as much progress in some areas where we were hoping to. As always, this roadmap should be read as a guide to what we aim to focus on over the coming quarter, rather than a hard commitment to features that will be made available on a specific deadline.
We'll be at PyOhio 2026!
Kattni will be organizing PyOhio 2026, which will happen from July 25 - July 26, 2026!
Philip will also be attending.
June 2026 Status Update
June saw a major push on logging support for macOS 26, a continuing overhaul of Toga's Canvas API, as well as many other improvements.
We'll be at EuroPython 2026!
Malcolm will be attending EuroPython 2026 from July 13 - July 19, 2026!
