We've made a lot of progress in Q2. However, much of that progress wasn't in areas that we were fully anticipating, and we didn't make as much progress in some areas where we were hoping to. Kattni will be organizing PyOhio 2026, which will happen from July 25 - July 26, 2026!
Philip will also be attending.
June saw a major push on logging support for macOS 26, a continuing overhaul of Toga's Canvas API, as well as many other improvements.
Malcolm will be attending EuroPython 2026 from July 13 - July 19, 2026!
May was dominated by PyCon US, where the BeeWare team ran another successful sprint, resulting in a number of improvements - many from first time contributors.
April saw some extremely important improvements to BeeWare's Windows support, and some important new policy decisions.
Q1 has seen some significant improvements to Toga, Android packages, and a milestone for official iOS support. As always, this roadmap should be read as a guide to what we aim to focus on over the coming quarter, rather than a hard commitment to features that will be made available on a specific deadline.
March has seen some big improvements in Briefcase, as well as some major discussions of design and policy issues in the rest of the project.
